MyLastNight is a workshop open to the public. Technical tinkering, recipes, notes, experiments. Hosted at home, operated by hand. Not an SEO blog, not a professional showcase, not a monetised product.

The idea is plain: what I tinker with may help others — so I keep it readable and accessible. You learn by doing; everyone has to start somewhere.

The four mantras

Three registers blend here: geek / pop-culture twists, taoist wisdom, plain speech. None weighs more than the others; they complement each other.

• Great power calls for great possibilities. A Spider-Man twist: duty → opportunity.
• Improve life and nourish the mind. The main filter for what is worth publishing.
• Achieve what is naturally right. Wu wei (無為) and ziran (自然) — to act without forcing.
• Don't be an asshole, stay no evil. A double twist on Google's abandoned "Don't be evil".

Why measure devices

Not to classify. To adapt.

If visits come from feature phones, older devices, text-mode browsers or command-line terminals, that is valuable signal: those readers have as much right to the workshop as anyone else. They just need a lighter version.

Knowing the hardware mix helps trim CSS, cut JS, build text variants, and eventually serve a CLI version readable with curl mylastnight.eu/recipes/foo.txt.

It's a full inversion of standard analytics: instead of targeting "valuable" or profilable visitors, the goal is to make sure the least-equipped readers keep a dignified way in.

Editorial voice

Concrete before abstract: one command, one example, one file beats a theoretical paragraph. Owning what isn't known: assumed uncertainty is more honest than feigned expertise. No marketing superlatives, no corporate jargon, no decorative emojis.
